TYPE E: This house suits larger families offering up to seven bedrooms, although the designed flexibility allows the spaces to accommodate a variety of uses. With the main living space arranged along the south facing side, and service rooms to the north, this is a classic PassivHaus layout. A continuous first floor balcony not only provides external access from the first floor bedrooms, but also provides solar shading to the extensive south facing glazing helping to prevent overheating. At just under 220 m2, it's amazing how much accommodation is packed into this house.

All the house types are Architect designed by a Certified Passivhaus Designer. The simplicity and functionality of the layouts is easy to see, however, behind the scenes, the construction details of the houses have been rigorously reviewed and tested to eliminate cold bridging and optimise the performance. Externally robust detailing is used to minimise cyclical maintenance. This all helps to ensure low running costs.
