HOUSE TYPE A
Our range of standard houses offer you plenty of flexibility,
energy efficiency and clever design.
TYPE A: This was our first standard house - designed specifically with the intention of making a PassivHaus. It's our most eco house, and the one you should go for if you're looking to orientate it optimally to the south, and all functional spaces to the north, a massive ground floor area offers maximum living space and a full length veranda shades the large glazed areas.
Type A is arranged so that the ground floor offers a separate kitchen, living room and dining room. The hallway offers access to the stairway, downstairs bathroom and store cupboard. A utility is also provided and can be accessed via the kitchen space.
Type A can provide 2, 3, or 4 bedrooms. The Ground Floor plan stays the same and the upper floors can be arranged to fit a different number of bedrooms. The First Floor plan of a Type A always offers a master bedroom with an En-suite, separate upstairs bathroom, and additional 2 or 3 bedrooms, depending on your preference.
The Type A is available in two sizes: 140m² and 165m², allowing an option of more generous room sizes if desired.

Each of our individual Caber House types have different features to suit a variety of lifestyles and households – we will be delighted to work with you to help find the right fit. If you would like guidance, we are happy to discuss your wish list, budget, future plans and any other factors that need consideration, and direct you to the most suitable house type.
All the house types are Architect designed by a Certified Passivhaus Designer. The simplicity and functionality of the layouts is easy to see, however, behind the scenes, the construction details of the houses have been rigorously reviewed and tested to eliminate cold bridging and optimise the performance. Externally robust detailing is used to minimise cyclical maintenance. This all helps to ensure low running costs.
